Jeremy Hunt named Visual Designer and Coordinator at the Madison Scouts

"My time at the Madison Scouts in the early 2000's was life changing.  Returning to the corps with very close friends and colleagues makes it the perfect time to come back.  I can't wait to see how the 2024 season unfolds."

Jeremy Hunt appointed Visual Designer for the Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps.

“I’m honored to join the Cavaliers as visual designer” says Jeremy Hunt. “Honestly, it’s a dream come true.” Hunt’s drill writing experience includes five Drum Corps International finalist shows, in addition to numerous BOA championship and WGI medaling works. He has written drill for the Phantom Regiment, Spirit of Atlanta, and the Colts, and served as visual instructional staff for Carolina Crown, The Glassmen, and The Madison Scouts. His drill writing for Leander High School contributed to their BOA class AAA National Championships in 2019 and 2016, and since 2008, he’s written for twelve UIL (Texas) State Finalist bands along with 16 state championship bands throughout the country. Along with visual design, Hunt is an adjudicator and clinician across WGI, WGAZ, and Texas Bandmasters.

Guest Lecture

10.26.2020

Thank you Dr. McKeithen and Fresno State University for having me ZOOM in to talk with your students. We had a great discussion about Pyware strategies, show design, marching band and the various situations that might come your way as a future band director.  Thank you again and hopefully next time it can be in person.

DRILL DESIGN 2020 COMPLETE!

10.20.2020

After what was certainly the craziest writing year of my career I wanted to share a project that is as unique as 2020.  Below is Leander 2020 or as I called it "SON LUX REDUX".  The students voted on a past show to redo and they chose the opener from 2015. We built the show and drill in a way that the students could perform it from home.  All they needed to do was paint a 15x15 square in their back yard to act as their "march field".  After that we took lots of time to plan for traditional marching moments but also leave tons of time for expression choreography.  Beyond that all tradition drill chart instructions were included for training and continuity purposes. Enjoy.
